About The Author

With qualifications in agricultural economics and agriculture the author has competancy to compile and present data on Australian agricultural statistics.

He graduated in Agricultural Economics from the University of New England and completed a Ph D in agricultural economics from the University of Aberdeen. In addition he has a diploma in agriculture from Longerenong Agriculural College.

After graduating, he worked with the Bureau of Agricultural Economics (which is now the Bureau of Agricluural & Resource Economics ABARE), before moving to the UK. IN the UK he did research at the University of Exeter department of agricultural economics and published a paper (Supply Response of Milk Production in South West England) He then moved to the North of Scotland College of Agriculture, Aberdeen, where he completed a Ph.D (-----) On returning to Australia he worked in the Industries Assistance Commission (which is now the Productivity Commisson). Before retiring he worked on statistics and evaluation with the Australian Federal Police.

He develops and maintains this website in his retirement.
